Philanthropy at Allen Memorial Hospital

In 2008, Allen Memorial Hospital provided over $2,300,000 in uncompensated care to the community. As we enter our 53rd year of service Allen Memorial continues the commitment to provide care to everyone who enters its doors in spite of a growing uninsured population and declining reimbursement.

Each day at Allen Memorial Hospital touching stories unfold in the lives of individuals, families and community members. Life begins and ends within the walls of this facility. Unexpected trauma filters into the Emergency Department on a much too regular basis. Oft times these folks are uninsured and the Hospital consistently provides quality care regardless of a person’s ability to pay.

Clearly philanthropy is extremely important to the Hospital's ability to survive. It is through the many generous gifts the Hospital receives that doors are opened for the procurement of state-of-the art equipment whereby making the patient experience more comfortable as well as the provider’s job easier and more efficient. Our mission is to serve the whole person by making a positive impact on the lives and health of our patients and the individuals in the community that surround us. Your generosity today will help us touch lives tomorrow, maybe even your own.

Capital Campaign –
Moab Regional Hospital, a Facility You Deserve…

Moab Valley Healthcare, Inc. is presently engaged in a capital campaign to build a replacement hospital. The present facility is over 53 years old and completely inadequate to house the equipment of the 21st century, among other things. The project includes the building of a 56,000 square foot facility licensed as a 25-bed critical access hospital. Initially, a 17-bed facility will open its doors to the community but established through architectural design is the capacity to grow to 25-beds as the need arises without interruption to day to day activities.

Through the efforts of many the capital campaign goal of $5,000,000 has nearly reached the $4,000,000 mark. Your consideration of a gift toward the new hospital project is vital to the success of building a healthcare facility you deserve. The staff at Allen Memorial has worked tirelessly to keep quality care at the center of their daily focus in spite of a facility that literally has conceded its utility, actually threatens optimal work space, and limits procedures specialists could provide.

There are many ways of giving to the Moab Regional Hospital campaign, each of which provides certain advantages to the donor. An outright pledge or gift of cash is the simplest method of giving and qualifies for a full charitable deduction.
